CAMPAIGN PROGRESS

We're getting closer -  So far $999,000.00 in "above-and-beyond" commitments over the next three years have been made. Praise the Lord! And THANK YOU to each individual or family who has turned in pledge cards to this point! We are encouraged by this healthy commitment toward this ministry goal, and we are humbled by the sacrificial giving these commitments represent.

Finishing Strong -  A great start deserves a great finish. We are thankful to God for the strong initial response from almost half of the regular giving units in our congregation. As we look toward finishing the capital campaign and moving into the next phase of the project, we are asking for and anticipating a good response from the remaining half of the faithful givers in this church family.

Why we need to hear from the WHOLE church body -  We want to make responsible decisions on how to proceed. To do so, it is imperative that we hear from the whole church family. After May 30th critical decisions related to the extent of the project will be made. Our ability to accomplish the whole project or just part of it will be determined by the level of commitments as of May 30th.
Because we want to avoid taking on debt, we will determine our outlay based on the commitment level of the church body. We can know what the commitment level really is only when we hear from the whole body. So, your response now will make a difference in the final form of the vision. If you have not responded, we urge you to do two things:

Pray -  Ask God what He wants you to do. We want each person to know the blessing of being a part of this vision. We also understand the uncertainty of the times and do not want anyone doing other than what God has asked of him or her.

Turn in a response card - You can fill one out online right now HERE. The information is completely confidential; only two people have been designated to record the commitments. If you cannot give, please join the dozen who have submitted cards indicating a willingness to pray and volunteer but an inability at this time to commit financially. We simply need to hear from the church family, one way or another, before we can proceed as responsible stewards, properly serving the church family.

The Vision - Convert the former "youth center" building into "The Hub." The Hub will be a flexible, multi-purpose facility ideal for all kinds of people ministries. Ministries to students, collegians, and the community have multiplied and grown in our church, creating the positive need for updated and additional space. Not only will the Hub meet these needs; it will also serve many other ministries and groups within our church. The potential is great.

The Capital Campaign - Raise $1.2 million in order to modernize the existing structure with the addition of a flexible, multi-purpose room, pave the parking lot, and update the kitchen in the main church building. Giving can be as a two-year commitment, or creatively as a onetime gift from unexpected/unplanned income over the next two years, such as:

        *    an income tax refund

        *   proceeds from yard or garage sales
        *   unexpected utility dividends

        *   quarterly investment earnings
        *   unexpected inheritance

        *   insurance reimbursements

Most important: We express again to God our complete dependence on Him and ask for the direction of the Holy Spirit as we proceed. We follow Him, because it¹s all about Him and for His glory. And we are overjoyed to be a part of all of this with you.
